
The objectives of the Silver Users Association are to:
- Increase the return of secondary silver supplies to the market;
- Cooperate with appropriate government agencies to reduce excesses in silver speculation;
- Support government policies which insure the free flow of new production silver to the market;
- Monitor environmental regulatory activities affecting the silver market at all levels;
- Keep members, press and the public informed by emphasizing facts on the silver situation;
- Maintain liaison with both U.S. government agencies and non-government groups with interests in silver. The list includes, but is not limited to the:
- U.S. Departments of Commerce, Interior, State and Treasury;
- U.S. Congress, and Mint;
- Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC);
- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA);
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA);
- Occupational; Safety and Health Administration (OSHA);
- International Precious Metals Institute (IMPI);
- International Imaging Industry Association (i3a);
- National Mining Association (NMA);
- The Silver Council;
- The Silver Institute.
